Our brother, friend and valued New Hyde Park Academy member, Shin Fukuda, will be returning to Japan on June 29.  Shin earned his Brown belt under Professor Joe & Tom.  His accomplishments during his time with us are: wining the Renzo Gracie Invitational,  New York Open,  and recent Long Island Pride No-Gi Brown Belt division. Shin has been a real asset to our family.  If you are in the New Hyde Park Academy please bid him farewell.  Shin, Good Luck in Japan,  everyone at Gracie Barra Long Island will miss you and we hope to see you again on the mat someday soon.

We will be having a team warm-up at the New Hyde Park Academy at 9:30am sharp. The adult No-Gi division for both men and women start at 10:30am so we would like to get a quick warm-up and then head over to the tournament. Good luck to everyone tomorrow and we will see you at the tournament.

On Thursday at   New Hyde Park during the Kids class we had two New promotions!!!! First we had Corina Fowler receiving her fourth strip on her Yellow with White striped Belt. Then we had Rory Greene receiving his fourth strip on his Yellow Belt. Professor Joe and Tom and all of the students at Gracie Barra Long Island would like to congratulate them for their hard work.
