Fundamentals Program
The fundamentals program is designed for the student who has no prior experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In these classes, we focus on the fundamental techniques and movements that are unique to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The program has a 16 week curriculum which introduces the new student to all the positions (guard, mount, side-control and etc.) that they will encounter during their training in this martial art. The new student will go through the curriculum a number of times in order to have a solid foundation in the basics. The curriculum repeats itself because seeing a technique once does not mean the student has mastered it!
This program will give a new student the proper tools he or she needs to advance towards their blue belt. It usually takes the average student 8-12 months to get to the blue belt level. All fundamental classes are taught in the Gi or Kimono (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform). Classes are available to Men and Women from the ages of ( 14 and up.)
