New Promotions!

The first to get promoted last night was Carlos Rosado.  He has improved so drastically over the past 2 years that most purple belts dread rolling with him.  Carlos received his Purple Belt last night at the New Hyde Park Academy.  Coming off a dominating performance at the Renzo Invitational Shin Fukuda showed why he should receive his Brown Belt.  Shin has been training for almost 9 years and started under Yuki Nakai in Japan.  He has been training with us for over 2 years now and has propelled his game to a new level.  Congrats to everyone that received their belts and we will see you on the mat.

New Promotions!

We have three new blue belts in the Academy. First we would like to congratulate Jack “Attack” Stern for recently being promoted to the rank of blue belt. Jack has put in the time and especially the hard work to desire his new rank. We would also like to congratulate Ron Giarraffa for receiving his blue belt. Ron has been around Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since in first came to Long Island during the days of Rodrigo Gracie’s Valley Stream Academy.  The third student to receive his blue belt was Matt Massaria.  Matt has been training for just under a year and has progressed in leaps and bounds during that duration.  We would like to congratulate all the new blue belts and keep up the hard work.  See you on the matt soon.
