For obvious reasons we have decided to have our 2010 BBQ on August 21, 2010 at Sunken Meadow Park for directions and more information about the park please go to this website: http://www.nysparks.com/parks/37/details.aspx.  All students, friends and family members are not only welcomed but encouraged to come down.  Gracie Barra Long Island kindly  asks all students that are planing on attending the BBQ to RSVP us by 8/18/10 so that we can plan for food and drink.  All adults are encouraged to purchase a $20 raffle ticket to cover the cost of food and drink, no charge for children under 13.  We will be raffling off merchandise, private lessons and more.  First pitch for the Soft ball game will be 9:30am, so please be a few minutes early to warmup.  All Gracie Barra West players must submit the positions they can play and jersey numbers to Kevin McCarney before Wednedsay (8/19/10).   All Gracie Barra East players must submit the same information to Professor Tom Muller before the same due date.  Thank you for all your support and we hope to see everyone soon.

We are scheduling our summer 1st Annual Softball game and BBQ for Saturday August 21,2010 and our rain date will be Sunday August 22, 2010. We will be making up team for the softball game so anyone that is interested please email Prof. Muller with the positions that you can play and the number you would like on your Jersey. We will be forming two team GB West (New Hyde Park) and GB East (Commack) so please let me know which team you will be playing for. This event is open to all friends, family and kids so please email Prof. Muller with how many people you are expecting to bring. We will also be raffling off merchandise so please buy a raffle to help pay for the event. The location will most likely be Eisenhower Park in East Meadow but we will be posting the official location in a week or so. Thanks and we will see you on the mat soon.

To all students we will be conducting a photo day at both Academies on Monday July 26, 2010 at 7pm.  We are updating the website and would like pictures of all the students from both Academies.  If you would like to be on the website and support the team at both the Commack and New Hyde Park Academies we will be shooting a class picture. Please bring your Gracie Barra Gi and this will be open to all students (advanced and fundamental). We urge all students to do their best to make the picture whether you train during the day or night. Thanks and we will see you on the mat soon.
