Professor Joe, and Coach Chris would like to congratulate Kayla Rodriguez from our Junior Class on her Award!!! It was given to her from the New York State for her excellence. We are so very proud of Kayla. Keep it up!!!!  We here at Gracie Barra New Hyde Park not only recognize when kids do well, like getting  new belts, do well in  tournaments, but we also want to recognize  what they do outside of our school. Like getting  trophies, or awards from their schools.  Anytime someone does something  that shows there hard work we want to know about!!!  Just like our Mission Statement states: ” ORGANIZED LIKE A TEAM, FIGHTING LIKE A FAMILY!!!!!!”  Everyone keep up the excellent work!!!!

Long Beach Closed For Father’s Day!!!!

New Summer Scheduale for the Striking Class!!!



Attention Gracie Barra Students there is a New Summer Schedule!!!! As of Wednesday June 15,2011  there  we be no longer a Striking class on Saturday Afternoons, we will still have the Striking class on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30. So guys make sure you get to the  Wednesday night class to get your training in.

Congrats Ralphie!!!!

Attention Gracie Barra Family on Monday evening, May 23rd at The Prince Hotel Ballroom in Manhattan, Mauricio “Ralphie” Rodriguez, a Blue Belt who trains at our school, received the honor of being selected to come on stage to received the award given to Bloomberg/QCH/AlPHA PROJECT for its work in renovating the “Chill Out Lounge” at the Queens Community House in Flushing. Now that its renovation has been completed, the lounge provides flexible uses for the project’s teenage clients, including a room for help with reading and homework, mentoring, recreational activities and arts programs; in addition, the lounge serves as the meeting place for the youth ebrolled in the Leaders-in training program. Included in his speech accepting this award for Bloomberg, Mauricio, who donated hundreds of hours of his own time to help renovate the lounge, stated”Initiatives that exemplify the company’s core principles-innovation,access and education- have always been core to our philosophy”. We are proud to have such a civic-minded citizen as Ralphie as a member of our school.
